How we repair sidewalks
Flag replacement
Damaged squares cut out at the joints and replaced with new concrete set level with the squares around them.
Trip hazard removal
Lifted squares removed and re-poured level with their neighbors.
Base repair
Where a square sank, the base under it is fixed before the new concrete goes in.
Curb-side and driveway-crossing sections
Squares next to the curb or where cars cross can be poured thicker.

Sidewalk Repair: common questions
Can you replace only a few squares?
Yes. Replacing only the damaged flags is often the most cost-effective repair.
Who is responsible for the sidewalk in front of my property?
It depends on where you are. In many cities and towns the owner of the property next to the sidewalk is responsible for keeping it in repair. Check with your local municipality — we can explain the repair work, but we cannot give legal advice.
What about the tree roots?
Street trees are often protected. Removing or cutting roots may require approval from your town. We will tell you what we see and what your options are.
Do you work with landlords and property managers?
Yes. If you manage several addresses, send them together and we can look at scheduling them as one project.
